Handling a client at risk
If a client has approached you with a serious or life-threatening situation, it is important you:
- Remind them of your role as their virtual therapist/coach.
- Make it clear that you can only offer resources and not any direct or physical emergency assistance.
- Remind them neither you/Plumm can be held liable for how they react to the situation or which resource they choose to use.
